WISH LIST: NEW AT SEPHORA

I am always stalking the Sephora website for new beauty products to try but I have never been so excited about so many new products like I am currently. There are so many new and innovative products out there right now. For example, the GLAMGLOW SUPERCLEANSE™ Daily Clearing Cleanser is a MUD to FOAM cleanser (taking the mud to the next level), and Peter Thomas Roth has a "bubbling" face mask (apparently the bubbling effect feels amazing on the skin). Here are some of the new items I have my eyes on.

Clockwise:
  1. Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula™ Luxury Facial Oil
  2. NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation
  3. Peter Thomas Roth Brightening Bubbling Mask
  4. GLAMGLOW SUPERCLEANSE™ Daily Clearing Cleanser
  5. Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette
  6. Hourglass Modernist Eyeshadow Palette
What are you currently coveting?

Fall 2013 Wish List

Well, it's that time again! There is nothing more exciting than getting ready for another start of the school year, and for the Fall and Winter (my two favourite seasons - Fall, in particular). For some reason, wish lists for the Fall school semester and/or the Fall are so much easier to compile! Anyway, I decided to combine my Fall wish list with my birthday wish list - as I did last year - and share with you some of the things that I am coveting, and hopefully, will be getting. As with most of my wish lists, these are not new releases that correspond to the season - it's just things I have discovered and want to incorporate into my beauty rotation! These are more pricier items but most of them are base makeup for the face - I can easily justify these purchases because I feel it is so important to have a nice canvas and also, products that do not have horrible ingredients. I have a feeling that this wish list is really a shopping list because I feel like I genuinely need all these products!

  1. Kat Von D Lock-It Powder Foundation $34/$41CAD
  2. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Anti-Aging Concealing Cream $32USD
  3. L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm
  4. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light
  5. Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Enhancer $45USD/$49.50CAD
  6. L'Oreal's False Lash Telescopic

Spring 2013 Wish List

We're one month in 2013 and I have already accumulated enough things for a new wish list! I have titled this one, "Spring Wish List" although they are surely not new items and do not necessarily scream out spring. Most items are replacing items on my previous wish list for replacing some of the items I am already finishing up, so I guess somethings are justifiable! It's just that I had a change of mind, you see.
  1. Rachel K CC CREAM ORIGINAL - I have barely dipped my toes into the BB cream world (Asian ones, at least) and now, I'm jumping ahead and trying out one of the first Asian CC creams out there in the market. The only thing that is really stopping me from purchasing this is that it contains parabens, and shipping from Rachel K's website is $9CAD! That's $39 + $ 9 = $48!
  2. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim - I have heard so much hype about this product... and Hourglass makeup has been known to be quite a splurge, meaning it has to be good right? I am one who needs products that mattifies the face but sometimes, I would like a nice glow too! Reviews and swatches of these powders have been drooling all over it! I think this would be perfect for me.
  3. Tocca Beauty Eau de Parfum Viaggio - my quest for my signature perfume scent is still on. I have never smelled Tocca perfumes but I want to give it a go because it would be such a bonus if my signature scent is unique and is something that not every other girl is wearing!
  4. Tangle Teezer Detangle Brush - this may sound strange, but I rarely brush my hair - usually a quick comb through with my fingers does the trick! However, the reviews on this $10+ brush has been wanting to give it a try!
  5. Shiseido Natural Finish Cream Concealer - Although I love my Hard Candy Glamoflauge, I am ready for a change!
  6. Fresh High Noon Freshface Glow - After hearing Whitney Port (from The Hills) talk about this on her YouTube channel, I knew I had to get it! Like her, I am quite pale, but unlike her, she always has this nice, bronzey but not too fake glow to her. This has to be the trick!
  7. Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder - After finishing up NYX Taupe, I am in need of a replacement for my contour powder. NYC Sunny seems to be too orangey to me for it to look natural. What can go wrong if you are purchasing a power specifically made for contouring?

New Year, New Make Up! 2013 Materialistic Wish List

As I am in the final year of my undergrad and as I take on more courses (6) than I will ever have, I want products that will be easy to slap on while delivering in coverage and finish. Based on the reviews I have read, here are some of the products that I see potential for this task. These products will be purchased when they are "needed" (ie. to replace something else) or when there is irresistible deal.

  1. MAC Mineralize Volcanic Ash Exfoliator ($28USD/$33.50CAD)- MAC has released this exfoliator on and off again for various collections, but they have finally decided to make this a permanent product in their skincare line. When this was a LE, I could never get my hands on this stuff, so now that it's permanent (with a significant price increase), I will finally be able to try this much raved about product (“Refines and unclogs the skin, adds instant moisture … mineral-rich”) - I am also looking to replace the abrasive St. Ives Apricot Scrub I am currently using.
  2. L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Serum ($70USD) - Although this is an "anti-aging" serum, I get the impression that it is more suited for skintypes that already have wrinkles, I got hooked on this stuff after using sample. I may be only buying this for its heavenly scent.
  3. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette ($27USD/$32CAD) - I do not have an extensive
eyeshadow collection so I can easily justify this even though I do have both NAKED 1 and 2. I feel like this is too "practical" to pass up.
  4. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing Powder with Real Cocoa ($29USD/$36CAD)- Matte, not too orange, no parabens = perfect for my new contour powder.
  5. Bobbi Brown BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 35 ($42USD/- Although I do love my Dr. Jart Black Label BB cream, I am always looking for new things to try out; I love Bobbi Brown and I've heard many good things about this product!
  6. MAC 109 Small Contour Brush ($35USD/$42CAD)- This may not be the most "necessary" item on this wish list because my Elf Complexion Brush but that ferrel is barely holding on. I love this because the shape is so unique, and God knows that after these holidays, I am in major need of some major contouring action.
  7. DR. JART+ The Original BB Cream Set  ($34USD/CAD)- Instead of buying another Dr. Jart Black Label BB cream, why not go for a Dr. Jart set to try out all the other different BB creams Dr. Jart has to offer? This kit is perfect!
  8. Dermablend Jar Cover Creme ($35USD/CAD) - I was sold when I saw the Dermablend commerical featuring the awesome Rick Genest! Full coverage, here we come!
  9. SHISEIDO The Makeup Powdery Foundation - O40 Natural Fair Ochre ($29.50USD/CAD)- I found out about this product when I was looking for a medium coverage powder foundation. At that time, all the shades and the case were out of stock and people were saying that this was being discontinued or Sephora will no longer carry this product anymore ... of course, after reading all the raving reviews on the website, I was heartbroken. Nontheless, I put down my email for notification if this was coming to ever come back in stock, and thankfully, a few months later, I got the good news from Sephora. They were bringing this back! I cannot wait to try this out when I am done with my Cover Fx powder foundation.
If I can resist, these will probably be the only products that I will buy - unless, something incredible comes along and I cannot resist.

You may notice that I am holding off on purchasing a fragrance. I have a bucket load of perfume samples and I also have a brand new Lancome La Vie est Belle lying around, which I am hoping to sell off because I'd rather much get my Miss Dior! :)

Skincare does not count as good skincare is an absolute must!

Fall/Birthday 2012 Wish List ♡

September is my birthday month! To be honest, I had to really think about what I materialisticallywanted. Three of these products were things I haven't even thought about wanting until the night before I created this college and blogpost, but I decided to add it in just for fun - they add a bit of elegance to this collection. Can you guess which products there are?
  1. Yale Bulldogs Champion Hoodie
  2. Marchesa Parfum D'Extase
  3. Thierry Mugler Alien Eau de Parfum
  4. The Official Guide to the MCAT Exam 2nd Edition
  5. Lakers Hoodie
  6. Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display
  7. Cover Fx Powder FX Mineral Powder Foundation -  M20 Warm Cream
  8. Tory Burch Robinson Envelope Continental Wallet
Or, the ultimate (and easiest) way win my heart (the materialistic route), my dream car - Range Rover Sport. I practically drool every time I see any Land Rover on the road.
